Performance Enhancement 5.0.5 released!2011-09-26 12:57:16
DHCPatriot Performance Enhancement release 5.0.5 addresses the following problems:
  • DHCP logs were creating a performance bottleneck when committed to the DB. They are now committed no more frequently than every five seconds or 100 lines, whichever comes first.
  • If a user device is broken somehow and updates its lease several times per second, the DHCPatriot will ignore subsequent updates allowing only one update per second. This should keep impact at minimum.
  • A memory leak was found and plugged on the DHCPatriot back-end.
What that amounts to is repairing three problems that could create performance issues on DHCPatriot systems. If your system is experiencing performance issues on 5.0.x, contact us today to setup a time for upgrade to 5.0.5.

If you are not currently experiencing performance problems, then you may safely wait until 5.1.0 to receive these performance enhancements.
